Your kids often see the staff wearing their BE THE ONE shirts and it always provides an opportunity to have a good discussion about what it means!! This past week we watched these short videos (Happiness is Helping Others and Mr Indifferent then we talked about how the people were feeling throughout the videos!! (We realized we can HELP others BE HAPPIER when we are KIND!!). We followed up the discussion by each child expressing a time when “their heart” felt sad and then each pledged to be someone who wants to help heal the hurt in others hearts by being KIND!!

We want to give a BIG Shout Out to Jackson for the books he donated to our classroom!!

I understand these are books he has loved for a long time and now they have also become a favorite of our whole class!!

Just a REMINDER …. your student needs to be READING 20 minutes a day!! You will find passages in the purple folder you can use during this time and if you are needing to spruce up your home library we have a SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDER going in on September 17!!
