About Me

I am so excited to teach at Quest Academy! I am looking forward to a great year, and I love teaching fourth grade. It is my favorite grade. I have wanted to be a teacher as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I used to play school with my younger brother and sister and I was always the teacher. I received my bachelor’s in elementary education from Montana State University –Billings, and I have a minor in special education. I also received a Master’s degree from Weber State University in education. Prior to teaching at Quest I taught for Weber School District and also taught for a short time in Louisiana.

I became a teacher because I care about students. I enjoy seeing young people learn and grow and love to see that moment that they “get it!” I also like the stories kids tell me, and the wonderful things they do and say.

I am a wife and mother to two wonderful girls. My husband also teaches at Quest. I inspired him to get his teaching degree once he retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years. When I have free time I enjoy reading, crocheting, and exercising. I also love afternoon naps. Some fun facts about me are that my favorite color is purple, I have four cats at home (Penny, Jazz, Azrael and Gypsy aka Baby Cat), and I am fluent in sign language.
