Homework for the Week of May 2nd!

Announcements

  • I cannot believe that it is MAY.  Where has the school year gone?  We have a very busy schedule this month, so please check the blog often for class news!
  • Our first week of SAGE Testing is OVER!!!  We have a break this week from testing and then we start up again this week.  If your child was absent last week, they will have a chance to make up SAGE Testing this week.  We will be making up our SAGE testing on Monday at 10:30.
  • We are finished with sorts for the rest of the year.  Our class will be focusing on the 300 site words that third graders should know.  We will still have spelling tests, but I will not be sending home spelling words to practice.  We will work on the words in class.
  • We will be working on equations in math this week and then we will be reviewing for the math SAGE test.
  • Ask your child what we have been reading for Language Arts.  They will write an opinion paper on the article they think is the grossest.  YUCK!!
  • If you have any pictures from any field trip or class party, please send them to me. Thanks!
  • Our class play will be on Thursday, May 19th at 2:00 pm.  Mark your calendars!!!  Our dress rehearsal will be on Wednesday, 18 at 9:00 am.  If you cannot make the play in the afternoon, you can come to the dress rehearsal.  All costumes must be here by the morning of the 18th for our dress rehearsal.
  • All costumes will need to be ready for the dress rehearsal, so start thinking of costume ideas.  Pinterest is a great place to get ideas from.  If you need ideas, feel free to email me.

April 21st Field Trip Permission Form!!

The Aquarium field trip is coming up on Thursday, April 21st.  Please open, print off, and read the permission slip very carefully. ( I will be sending home a paper copy on Monday.)  On this field trip, we will be taking the FrontRunner again.  The students need to be at the Roy Station by 8:15 AM and will need to be picked up by 3:45 PM.  This is NOT a mistake!  We know that this is past the time of a normal school day, but with our schedule for the day it is necessary.  We are asking for a $4.00 donation for each student to cover cost of Front Runner and bus/shuttle  transportation to and from the Draper Front Runner station.  All parents that would like to come can pay $7.00 at the front office.  Parents are also responsible for their FrontRunner ticket.  All permission slips and money needs to be turned in by next Friday, April 15th.
