I want to know what they know and how well they are understanding what they are learning in math. You are welcome to help them navigate through the 5 questions, but please allow them to do their own work. They are welcome to use a piece of paper, manipulatives, or whatever they need to complete the “Check.” This needs to be completed by Wednesday.

Welcome back!  I hope you all had an  amazing Spring Break.  I am so glad you are back.  I missed you and I am ready to see you again.  Remember today you need to log in to Google Classroom.  All of the assignments will be in there.  Use your school email to access it if you have not logged in yet.  If you have problems you can always email me or call the help desk at Quest.

Coding Wednesdays

Mrs. Fischer would also like to do a coding class once a week for about 30 minutes. She would like to do it the same day and time each week. We will be doing our coding class every Wednesday at 12:00.  Her Google class code is also listed in our google classroom.  By now you are getting to be a pro at joining classrooms.

Important Additions

Mrs. Anderson would like to meet with our first grade class Monday mornings at 8:30 am to share some stories and see how everyone is doing. I think she may even already have some stories in the google classroom This class would only be for about 10-15 minutes. To access her class, she has asked us to join her Google Classroom. Her class code is listed in our google classroom. 
Go to google classroom and join her classroom the same way you joined my google classroom, but using her code.

Important Information

Dear Parents,

Here are a few things that will change after Spring Break:


  • I will be required to take attendance during our morning meeting at 10:00.  If your child isn’t able to attend the morning meeting and do their online work, I will mark them absent.  If they miss the morning meeting, but are able to watch the recordings and complete the required work at a later time, please email me to let me know and that way I can go in and fix the attendance.
  • Teachers have been advised not to post our class meeting links and/or codes on our blog. Rather, I will post the links for students to access the class meetings in our Google Classroom. Your student should already have access, but if not, please email me and I will send you the video that has the code and how to join again. 
  • I will begin working with students in small groupsmall groups for Language Arts Instruction and to check their math proficiency. I will post the time on our blog that each group needs to login to Zoom.  Meetings will last about 15-20 minutes.  Thanks for all your help making sure your child is on at their correct time!  If they cannot attend at their posted time please email me so that we can make alternate arrangements.
