Hooper City’s Annual Halloween Haunt

This message was sent to teachers along with a white paper bag for each student. The bags were sent home on Friday.

It is once again time for Hooper City’s Annual Halloween Haunt. It will be held on Saturday, October 18th, from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m., at Hooper Park, 5600 South 6100 West. The favorite part of the Haunt is the luminaries made by the school children. We are asking your class to help us with this project. The luminaries can be made on the white paper sack, by drawing, pinpoking a picture, or stapling/taping on a picture. If you would please also have your students fold down the top of the sack, that would be most appreciated. This helps the bags stay open and not catch fire. We will be collecting completed bags on Monday, October 6th. If you are not able to help with this, would you please return the bags, so we can use them next year.

Thanks so much,
Sheri Bingham

WEEKLY ORGANIZER

Parents,

I apologize, I left the file with my homework organizer on my home computer so it did not go home in the homework folders today. I will send it home tomorrow. Please do homework as explained below for tonight and sign the paper tomorrow when you get it.

Thank you!

Mrs. Lloyd

Homework Information

I want to make homework easier to organize for the students and the parents. I have 5 children so I know how hard it is to get everyone’s homework in each night! I also am a believer that homework is very beneficial so I have decided to add the homework organizer to help make it easier. I printed each student one and sent home today. You can also click below and print it out. If you would please initial each night saying your student has done their homework. You DO NOT need to send the word sorts in on Fridays, your initials will suffice in me knowing your child has completed them each night. However, please do send in their math homework so I can correct it as well as the reading log if you aren’t filling it out online. I hope this makes things easier and more organized. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call, email, or stop by. Thank You! We really do have a terrific class. Mrs. Lloyd

Homework Due Tomorrow

Reminder that homework is due tomorrow! It was brought to my attention that a few of you aren’t able to open the math homework files. Originally they were put on in a word document, I changed it to a PDF so it should work now. If your child was able to finish everything, please send it tomorrow. If they were not, they are more than welcome to work on it over the weekend and bring it in on Tuesday! Also, please record your child’s reading minutes under the homework/ reading tab. Thank you and have a great weekend!

Volunteers For Bulletin Board

Parents, I have heard through the grapevine that a few of you are very good at scrapbooking. I am not a huge craft girl when it comes to using paper (love to paint but that’s about it). I would love for a volunteer or two to help with the 2 bulletin boards next to our whiteboard in the front of the classroom. I am going to feature a student each week on one and the other I want a math board. I think it will be easy for those that have cricuts and other fancy scrapbooking items. Please feel free to let me know if this is something you would like to help out with! I would appreciate any help I can get. Sincerely Mrs. Lloyd

By The Way: Ask your students to show you their math dance moves they worked on today! It was so fun!
