We will be doing a fun STEM activity based on the book “Ricky the Rock That Couldn’t Roll”. Please send a small flat rock to school with your child by May 6th. The rock should be big enough to draw a face on and fit well in your child’s hand. 

Last library book check out will be next week on Wednesday, May 1st. All books are due back the following Monday morning of May 6th. If your child has lost or damaged their library book and needs to pay for replacement, please pay the office no later than May 6th. We want to be the first class to return all of our library books. **If your student does not have their library books returned or paid for replacement by this date, they will be helping Mrs. Anderson in the library during their field day**

We have been granted a scholarship to attend a field trip to the Ancient Life Museum at Thanksgiving Point! We will be riding the Frontrunner and will need as many chaperones as we can get! Our train leaves at 8:15am and returns at 2:45pm from the Roy Frontrunner station. The train ticket fees are included for everyone. We are allotted 6 paid chaperones per class. The fee for the exhibit is $6 for chaperones after our allotted fees. Watch for the permission slip and if you can chaperone we would be very grateful and appreciative!

We are learning about holidays around the world this week. We learned about Kwanzaa today! I have attached the activity we did if your child did not finish in class today!

I have a set of laminated cards that need to be cut out. Please email me if you are able to cut these out for me and I can send them home with your child.
