I apologize for the late blog update this week. This week had two units overlapping and I wanted to simplify it for you.

This week we will be going over:
ELA: Retell – I can read the story and retell in sequential order.
Math: Addition and Subtraction with 2-digit numbers – I can fluently add and subtract 2-digit numbers within 100 using different strategies.
Phonics: S and J sounds (S- s, ce, ci_; J- j, dge, ge, gi_) – I can read words with the S and J sounds.
Sight Words: We are on week 2.3. You may make flashcards of the sight words and have your student read and spell each word. For a challenge, have your students write the sight words in sentences or a story.

What is coming home this week?
There is a new reading and sight words tracker coming home. It is on a teal blue paper. Please ensure your child is reading and practicing their sight words!

– Cole’s Birthday on 10/26!

Reminders:
– Our library day is on Mondays- please make sure your student’s library book comes back with them after the weekend. If your student didn’t get their library book back today, please send it with them TOMORROW!
