Quest Elementary
We are so lucky to have three amazing people as part of our Faculty and Staff!
Jennifer Calcut: Certified School Psychologist
Diane Arrington: Behavior Specialist Aide
What do they do?
Well, what don’t they do? They work with children with behavior disorders by providing support through behavior planning and social skills lessons. Diane and Jennifer service 58 kids by providing Super Hero’s Social Skills training that focuses on the following skills: Participation, Joint Attention, Regulating Emotions, Identifying and Labeling Emotions, Responding to Bullying, Appropriate Attention and much more! They also service about 15 students with the support of behavior planning that allow the student to maintain success in their regular education setting. These children are able to feel a part of the community by learning the skills that will enable them to become productive members of the community.
Quest 2.0
Debbie Nelson: Q2 Guidance Counselor
Debbie facilitates (3) sessions of the Super Hero’s Social Skills training, grades 5-9. She works with students in groups as well as individually teaching life skills. She also has the opportunity to teach lessons as part of CTE for 7th graders. She is looking forward to meeting with all Q2 students and their parents for SEOP’s soon to be known as CCR’s (Student Educational Occupational Plan or Career & Collegy Ready). This gives students the opportunity to set educational and career goals providing direction as they move forward in life. Recently, for 9th graders, representatives from different high schools have been at Quest sharing information about their programs. The intent is to provide students information so that they can make an informed decision as to which high school is best for them. Debbie loves being at Quest because of the exceptional students, parents and staff.
