Mathematics

Quest Academy has a strong focus on Math Fluency Skills.   By the end of Third Grade, the Common Core State Standards call for students to be fast and accurate with math facts in all four operations.  We have a school wide Fluency Program called the Bits and Bytes Club and we also use Fasst Math.  FASTT Math’s adaptive instruction enables students to develop math fact fluency and automaticity so they can focus on higher math skills.  It is a research- proven, adaptive software and has engaging math games for Grades 2-9+. Also in our classrooms, Math Common Assessments are given to assess the children on the Common Core Standards. Each student is given a pre- assessment before the concept is taught so that the teacher knows exactly what to plan and teach each unit. Our teachers use Quarterly Math Pacing Guides to ensure that they complete all of the Common Core Standards expected through out the year.
