Homework will be assigned and posted on our class blog every Friday for your convience but won’t start until Monday. Please print the homework pages out for your child. They will be used to reinforce what we have been learning in class. This is a great way for your child to get additional practice on what they are working on in class, and for you to see what they are learning and how well they are understanding it. Your child should work on their homework for at least 10 minutes each night followed by 20 minutes of reading. Our class homework will include Word Study (“Words Their Way”), Fluency Practice, Math and Reading each night. Homework should not be overwhelming, especially in 1st grade. Homework is DUE back the next FRIDAY (place in their blue take home folder).

*Math Homework should be done every night. They have math homework sheets I will send home or I will post to do a math game online. If I send home a math workbook activity please only have your child do all the odd problems. Please do one workbook page per day.
