This year, our class is receiving Scholastic News®, a magazine just for first graders! Your child will have his or her own magazine to bring home each week. It’s a great opportunity for you and your child to sit together and practice reading nonfiction.
You can also go online to the Scholastic News website. You and your child will be able to:
• Read the digital articles yourselves or listen to them being read aloud
• Watch nonfiction videos
• Play skills-based educational games
• Print activity pages
