Wed: CODE 11:45-12:45 – (optional for e-learners) - Fri: Early Release 1:00
Announcements: Parents, this week (Tues. 9/22) we will be having our first math lesson with food. The permission slip for this was signed at the beginning of the school year. We will be having graham crackers, pretzel sticks, and mini marshmallows. E-learners, you are welcome to purchase these items so your child can participate.
Reading in Class
- The essential question is: “How do we care for animals?”
- We will be learning short ‘a’ and long ‘a’ (a_e) for our spelling, ie. bag, cap, ham, ate, bake, back, cape
- Our Vocabulary words are: allowed, care, excited, wandered, needs, wild, roam, safe
- Math in Class
- We will learning different strategies to add 2-digit numbers with regrouping and taking the test on Tuesday. We will then begin learning about place value up to 3 digits.
Reading Homework (optional, but highly encouraged!!)
Please, please, please read with your child. Make it enjoyable and fun. You can even read to them!! 20 minutes a day is a great goal.
