Announcements:  Our cookie dough fundraiser has started. Packets went home last Friday. As all purchases for the fundraiser need to be entered into the Scoreboard app, we have provided a short instructional video–there are also instructions in the student packet. 🙂 Click here to watch the video. The code you’ll need to enter in the app for Quest is QUE699.

Please note that you can still use the paper form to sell, but eventually you will need to enter all the purchases into the app. You’ll need to collect the cash/checks if you use the paper form and turn the money in on Monday, September 27th. Checks should be made out to Quest Academy. Thanks!

Math in Class

We are continuing with One-step word problems. Students must be able to identify if they are adding or subtracting in the problem. We will test on Tuesday, Sept. 21 to check for understanding. We will then start working on 2-step word problems, which is even harder. Please help your child by creating situations in their everyday life where they have to add or subtract to find the answer to your question.

Reading Homework (optional, but highly encouraged!!)

**Please read with your child. Make it enjoyable and fun. You can even read to them!! 20 minutes a day is a great goal. Your student has a September reading log they can fill out to keep track of how often they are reading. They also should be bringing home 2 decodables each Friday in their yellow folders. These stories can be read and returned for class money. If they read them 3 times out loud with you, please sign it and have them bring it back. *
