We hope everyone had a wonderful break and are ready to work hard until the next one (December 15 is the last day of school before Christmas).   We will be taking pictures on Tuesday for a special Christmas surprise.  Please choose your favorite uniform shirt (RED looks like you match the season) and make sure you do your hair the way you like it best!

Scholastic Book Orders
We are going to do a quick book order this week.  This is a great  opportunity to purchase books at a fabulous price for Christmas.  We will submit the order Friday, December 1st at 9:00.  This will insure that they arrive before Christmas.  If your order is a surprise for Christmas, just let us know.  We will put Christmas Surprises to the side, in a bag, and email you that your purchase has arrived.  If you don’t already have a book tradition, this is a great year to start one.

Christmas Ideas
We have noticed that some of the students are starting to need little things like
*  Mechanical pencils (Size 9 Lead),
*  Box of 24 crayons (Our desks don’t have room for the larger boxes, and we will send them home)
*  Box of 12 colored pencils
*  Headphones (Some of the student’s headphones have broken, they have not withstood being dropped well).
Please check with your student and see if they are in need of any of these things.

Math
In Math, We will be starting Multiplication and Multiplication Madness. We know that many of you have started memorizing your facts, and are working on multiplication and division in Relfex, but we also need to insure that you understand how and why multiplication works.   We will also be reviewing, and reteaching perimeter.

Pathblazer is still the program we are piloting, and will be until Christmas.  We will let you know when we start the next pilot.

Homework:  Please read every night for 20 minutes.  It’s so important for comprehension, fluency, and word attack skills. Remember your child only needs to read on the days you would like them to be successful!   Prodigy and/or Frontrowed.com are both perfect places to practice things that we’ve learned in school.

Have a wonderful week!  Remember Choose Kind!
