Feeling Thankful

Teaching: Mrs. Alexander

A THANKFUL heart is a HAPPY heart!
Thank you for all of your support for our food drive. Your generous donations will help feed less fortunate families in our community throughout the holiday season, and beyond.

Important dates:
Nov. 13 Monday: Last day of 2017 Food Drive.
Nov. 15 Wednesday: STEM Lab
Nov. 16 Thursday: Library (don’t forget to bring your book!)
Nov. 17 Friday: Early Release

Nov. 20-24: Thanksgiving Break, no school!

This Week:
Reading:
This week, our reading focuses on the essential question “How do people figure things out?” Our comprehension strategy will be determining the main idea and supporting details, and our skill is building and using background knowledge
Math:
While continuing our study of perimeter, composite shapes, and finding the unknown side, we will begin our first full week of our new math program, Path Blazer!
Homework:
As soon as the Greg Tang Thanksgiving Challenge is available, the game board and instructions will be sent home with students. If you choose to participate in the challenge, Prodigy is not required. Otherwise, please work in Prodigy for 15 minutes, at least 3 times this week.
20 minutes of reading is required for each day that ends in the letter “y”! We will also be doing book talks during the week.

THANK YOU for taking time out of your busy schedules to come to Parent/Teacher conferences last week. We always enjoy having the opportunity to share with you the progress your child is making and sharing some of the awesome things we are doing in class. If you should ever have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to email or message us through Bloomz.

Work hard. Be kind.
