Play Information
We are so excited about our upcoming play. Please clear your calendars so we have a full cast for both the day and night time performances on May 16th. We will perform at 2:00 and again at 5:30.
Each of the students have been assigned their parts and will be working hard to memorize their parts and all of the songs that go along with the play. We will NOT be sending scripts home, as this will make the play more enjoyable for you to watch.
We do need each child (with his/her family’s help) to be responsible for his/her costume. The costumes do not need to be overly extravagant. If you have questions or need some ideas, please feel free to contact us, we are more than willing to help you figure something out.
Reading
We are beginning our last unit of study in Reading (Can you believe we have completed 5 units!)
Math
We are working hard to make sure all of the students are progressing and mastering all 37 standards that are covered in 3rd grade. We are focusing in whole group on completing elapsed time and then moving to measurement, capacity and mass.
Homework
Reading is still the most important part of homework. If a reading habit is formed at an early age, it will follow you through your lifetime. 20 minutes a night is all that we ask for, and I know that many of the students in our class read more than that.
Math homework is Prodigy or Frontrowed. We have assigned several opportunities to work on the concepts your child is struggling with. All students do not have the same assignments, they have been individualized according to the needs of the student.
