I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break!
The students will be creating their toys from trash in STEM. Please send their selected items, that they will use, to create their toy, on Monday. They have been planning and coming up with some genius toys they can make from things they find around the house. I can’t wait to see their finished projects!
Starting this week we will be learning about Christmas traditions in other countries. We will be trying different treats that are part of each country’s tradition. The permission for these items was included on the class disclosure so I will not require another signed consent form. However, if anything has changed with your child and food allergies or concerns, please let me know. Also, if any of you have knowledge about any other country’s traditions and would be willing to share, we would love to have you participate!
Our Christmas party will be on Friday, Dec. 20th from approximately 9:00 to 10:45 (exact times to be determined). We will be rotating with the other second grade classes to “visit” a country in each room. We will be celebrating Italy in our classroom. We would love to have any parents or grandparents, who are available at that time, to come help us celebrate!
