Parents,
We are asking for donations for our field trip! We do receive money from POQA to help with field trips but the bus alone, for one field trip, eats up our entire fund.
We have only had 8 students donate towards this week’s field trip and we will need more if we are going to be able to go on a second field trip in the spring.
Please, if at all possible, send a donation to the office! If you have already paid, thank you!!

Please plan on the field trip unless it is raining on Thursday morning. We will reschedule, if that’s the case. Please plan on dressing our child in shoes that are suitable for walking around a farm and jackets as necessary.

Please make sure that your child is dresses according to our dress policy. This includes appropriate sock color; red, white or navy and belt color; black or brown. Shoes have also become a problem. Please no light up shoes, shoes must be closed toes and socks must be worn.

Parent Permission For 2nd Grade Field Trip

Happy Monday!,
Fund raiser money and orders are due tomorrow. Let’s make a big push to get all that we can!! This money goes towards many of the activities that we get to do during the school year.

Your student was given a September calendar last week. That is to record how many minutes your child reads each day. Just put the number of minutes over the day and they can turn those in at the end of the month for a prize. That is all that I ask for as far as homework goes. I would love for them to read for at least 20 minutes a night. If they are struggling with a math concept I will send some extra math sheets home, but I will let you know if this is something that I will be sending.

Tomorrow, Aug. 29th is picture day! Your child brought an order form last Thursday. If you have not seen this please check their backpack.
I will be sending a calendar home with your student. This is for you to mark each day that your child reads. Please fill it out daily and send it to school, with your child, on the first day of the next month so that they get credit and a prize.
Today your child will be bringing home the information about the fund raiser. This fund raiser helps pay for the extra activities that we do here at school. Please support your child and our school with this.

We are off to a wonderful start in second grade! Our class is amazing!

If you have not signed the electronic permission form online- please do so immediately!
If you have not signed and returned your child’s class disclosure please do so as soon as possible.
If your child has not brought headphones to use – please send them with some as soon as possible.

It was so great to meet you and your awesome 2nd graders last night!! I loved seeing the excitement and eagerness to return to school! I am looking forward to a wonderful new school year.
