Pizza Party! and Student Council Service Project

Thanks to the amazing sales, in our class, for the pizza card fund raiser we get to have a pizza and ice cream party! We will be having these treats on Thursday, March 12th. I will need signed permission for your child to participate. I will send these home today so please sign them and put them in your child’s backpack so that they don’t get forgotten. You may also email me to give your child permission, if that is easier. slindsey@questac.org

Would you please put the following on your blog, the student council needs help with their annual service project:

The Quest Academy Student Council is participating in a service project to donate hygiene kits to refugees in Bangladesh. According to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), more than 723,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh since August 25, 2017. On September 28, 2018, at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said there are 1.1 million Rohingya refugees now in Bangladesh. Beginning today, we will be collecting donations to assemble kits to help aid the people of this country.

We are collecting:
-shampoo
-toothbrushes
-toothpaste
-bars of soap
-combs
-deodorant
-washcloths
-gallon sized Ziplock bags

Donations can be any size and placed in the shopping carts in Q1 or Q2. We would greatly appreciate it if everyone would donate one or more of the selected items to help us with these relief efforts for the people of Bangladesh.

Writing Group Volunteer

Snow Fun and Valentines

Our Valentine Party will be on Friday, February 14th from 9:45 to 10:55 am. We will be doing in-class rotations. Parents that are available are welcome to come help.
We will be making Valentine bags during our rotations so you will not need to create one for your child to bring.
We have 27 kids in our class. 14 girls and 13 boys. Please have your child sign their names to the cards that they will be passing out but do not personalize them as to who will be receiving them.
We will also be decorating cookies. If your child’s permission, to have cookies, has changed, please let me know.
Please do not send Valentines with any type of food or candy in them.
We will be passing out our Valentines after lunch.
