Math: Our 3rd-grade class will start working on multiplication and we are so excited. This skill is very important for third graders to master. In order for your child to be successful with memorizing all of their multiplication facts they need to be practicing at home and flashcards are a great way to practice these facts. You can find a cheap set of flashcards at the dollar store, you can print off your own online, or use index cards to create your own. No matter which flashcards you use, it is so important that your child has practice.
Below is the family letter from our math workbook that explains what we are doing in class. On the second page of the letter, there is an activity to help students with adding three-digit numbers. You are not required to do the activity, it is just a suggestion if you would like your child to practice at home.
ELA: This week we’re working on Unit 1 Week 3 in our Wonders book. Below is an outline of what we will be learning.
