Schedules for the next two weeks.

Please read them carefully. First schedule is for May 11-15, all meetings are the same, everyone needs to be there. The schedule is just to show when your child is presenting. The second schedule is for May 18-22 is a different schedule. We will be testing the kids on IReady. Students will need to be ready to test just as if they were in school. Please ensure your child has breakfast and is in an environment where they can focus. We will be proctoring while they are working on their test. Thank you Parents!

Hello Parent,
Congratulations you made it through your first full week of e-learning at home! We wanted to thank you for all that you have done and for all of your support. We admire all the parents that are doing what they can to help their child. We appreciate everyone sticking with us and being patient as we all learn together on this e-learning journey.

We, as a team, have decided to switch over to Zoom when we return back to school after Spring break. Zoom is a platform similar to Google Meets, but it has more options to better our e-learning journey. We would like to have a practice run on Wednesday April 1st @ 11:00am. We will start on Google Meets to give instructions on how to get onto Zoom. If you are using a home computer, laptop, or iPad we have attached some instructions on what you will need to do before our test run on Wednesday April 1st. We will also record the session. We hope everyone can join us.

Field Trip to Gibson Green Acres!

We will be going to Gibson’s Green Acres farm on Thursday, October 3rd. We will leave the school at 8:45 am and return at 12:00.

We will be going through a corn maze, sliding down giant slides and riding on a wagon to see the dairy cows. Please dress your child in good walking shoes for this field trip.

We can take a maximum of 8 parents per class. The first 8 parents, from each class, who pay the office their $4 donation will be those that will be able to go. Please do not pay for parents online! Student donations will be $6 each and can be paid to the office or online. This will include a small pumpkin.

Please click on the link to sign permission for your child to attend. This also gives us the required time to order sack lunches from the school if that is what your child will be eating. They may bring their own sack lunch but please be aware that there will be no microwaves.

Happy field tripping!

Welcome to Second Grade! We are so excited to meet our new students!

First things first for the upcoming school year, please subscribe to our blog by entering in your email to the subscribe box (located in the top left hand conner). By subscribing to our blog you will receive an email every time we update our blog.

We will have Back to School Night on August 16th from 5:30-7:30pm.  You may bring your classroom supplies that night.  The supply list is posted on our blog under Parent Info.  At Back to School night, you will be able to sign up for volunteer opportunities as well as for your student’s Star Student Week.

If your child was assigned to our class, they have the unique opportunity to have a team of 3 teachers supporting them this year.  We will be teaching the Math and Science block of the day. Mrs. Zimmerman will be teaching the ELA block.  We are very excited for this opportunity.

Our first week of school will be
August 19-23.  These will all be short days.  Short days will now be dismissed at 1pm.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!
