HI I am Anna! My favorite part of being star student was that I read to the hole class and i shared my poster and my stuff and being in front of the hole class.
Just want to remind you of our POETRY SLAM tomorrow night from 6-7 pm.
** We ask students to please dress nicely. (skirts, dresses, ties, black pants, etc.) does not have to be in school uniform.
I also only have one parent bringing cookies. If you are willing or able we could use more!
Thanks! I can’t wait to show off our students hard work! Mrs. Woodrow
Parents, Please look for an invitation coming home today. We have a fun evening planned for the second grade students. A few students from each class will perform an original piece of poetry. Also, each student will have one of their original works on display that evening. The event will not take any longer than an hour. I do need a few volunteers from our class to help provide some refreshments for that night. When: Thursday, Feb. 2nd 6-7pm Where: Quest Academy Elementary Gym
Please come and support your student! They have worked so hard!!
We have new sorts! The students are excelling in their spelling! We are now in a new book! So the words are little harder. Also, Math homework is on Front Row assigment #26 and Prodigy! Don’t forget your reading. Students are welcome to go to Raz-kids to get their reading done! It is a great place for them to work on comprehension skills!
TOMORROW we are doing a show and tell! The students have earned it as a reward. There are just a few guidelines I would like students to follow. 1. Only bring items that are okay’d by parents. 2. Items should be small enough to fit into backpack. 3. Items stay in backpack until show and tell and return back to backpack after show and tell.
We have discussed these rules together as a class, so students are aware.
I am sorry I was out yesterday and didn’t post homework! Don’t worry though! We are going to skip word sorts this week since it is a short week. We will have math homework in Prodigy for the week.
For our STEM Challenge this week we are building shovels to dig up our buried treasure! Here are some supplies that are needed: Duck Tape Cardboard sticks
If you have any of these items laying around your student could bring that would be great! We will be doing our challenge on Thursday January 12th.
