Z- Zip Up Your Backpacks and Zoom Home Day!
The end of the year is almost here! We are going to count down the last 26 days by celebrating a letter of the alphabet each day. Participation in these extra activities will be based on student behavior in class. The countdown will start on Friday, April 20th. Let’s make the rest of our 2nd Grade the Best Year Ever! Below are the first few days!
4/20 (Starts on Friday)
A-Art Day. We will do a fun art project in class today! 4/23-4/27
B-Baby picture day. Bring a baby picture to show your friends. Please write your name on the back. I will also accept digital pictures via email.
C-Critter Day. We will have Scales & Tails come to Quest.
D-Dancing Day. We will have some fun dance time in class.
E-Extra Recess Day.
F-Furry Friend Day. Bring a stuffed animal to school.
Parents! I have to have the book orders sent in March. Please bring your forms in asap. Even if you are not purchasing, I need all forms. Otherwise I can’t publish your child’s work in the book.
We are doing our money unit for the next couple weeks! Keep this in mind as your buying things with cash, let your student count it out and help pay. If you have a change jar, dump some of it out and have your student count and sort the coins. This will help them remember the look and value of the coins.
We are doing a fun Pirate STEM project this month. Next week on Thursday we will need some cardboard to create our shovels.
Cardboard can include: cereal boxes small and large boxes. Please flatten them before bringing them in. We also will be using duck tape, I do have some, but some students mentioned they have a fun color they would want to bring. That is fine with me as long as its okay with you.
