April 16-20 Homework & Such

Tomorrow, April 17 it is a free dress down day! Bell Photographers will be taking Spring pictures or personality portraits. The order forms were sent home on Friday. All students will have their pictures taken but their is no obligation to buy them. The proofs will be sent home a in few weeks.  At that point, you can order what you like or send them back to the school.

We have started a STEM project about the RMS Titanic (wall sized diorama of the Titanic). Student’s will be working in the classroom on a writing assignment and creating “rooms” of the ship. We will also be creating the image below.  Student’s have already been put into 2-man groups to “create” a room from the ship. Please send colored paper/scrapbooking paper to donate, any modeling clay, or even doll furniture or legos can be brought. If they have a room, they will need to bring popsicle sticks (or something) that they can use to make bunkbeds. Also, small squares of fabric for bedding.  Have them look around the house for supplies and be creative. I will send home anything that they don’t use. We need tape too! All of the furniture/legos will be taped into the box and returned afterwards.  The paper creations will be sent home as will. We need them in the classroom by Thursday. **Don’t send valuables.  We will be displaying this in the foyer of the school. There is a chance, it could go missing.**

Additionally, if you upgraded your child’s Prodigy account, they are activated and ready to use.

Homework:
Read for 20 minutes each night.  Don’t forget to turn in your minutes on Thursday evening.

Finish any missing/unfinished FrontRowED assignments.
Finish any ReadWorks assignments-you can only miss one.

Play Prodigy for 20 minutes each night.

IXL-keep working on filling up your card until you have completed 40 minutes of homework each night 😉
