December 17 – FRIDAY – “Polar Express” PJ Party

Dear Parents and Students –

We are having a Polar Express Pj party on Friday, December 17. It is a FREE dress down day. Your child can wear whatever -stay appropriate- and one snuggly to cuddle up and watch Polar Express. Please fill out the food permission slip form at the bottom of this post. It is one of my presents to my students for working so hard till the end of the year!

Thursday, December 16 @ 1:30 pm we will be doing our Secret Santa exchange. All students who chose to participate drew names last week. If you have any questions, please email me, I know who everyone has, and all who opted out. Please, have all secret Santa gifts in our room by Wednesday, December 15 (just to make sure all is good and everyone is accounted for).

This year has gone by too fast. The kids have worked so hard. Are doing their best to master their standards and also working on being a warrior kid! Next month, January – I will have tutoring on Tuesday & Thursday again. At that time, if your child ever wants to stay after on either of those days for ANY math help, they can. I only ask if they stay, they are willing to work, not mess around. I will ask students to leave who are not there to use the time wisely. Remember, this is starting in January, first week back. This Thursday we will be cancelling tutoring, being so close to the holiday.

Have a great day,

Mrs. Young

About angie.young

Hi - My name is Mrs. Young. I am excited to start a new adventure teaching at Quest Academy. I have taught previously in Weber School District in 2, 3, 4, and 6th grades. This will be the start of my 13 year. I also taught in Ogden District, before receiving my Bachelor's of Science, in special education preschool and long term subbing for math in the Jr. High Schools. My hobbies are my family!!! AND singing and acting. I have always loved art and theater. I hope to incorporate art into the technology and science to help our young minds expand to new measures. My family has been part of the education system since I was born. I have always been taught to have a passion for learning and growing. I am very excited to help my students this year to achieve all their goals and never stop fulfilling their passions in life. Welcome to 5th GRADE!!!
