Hello Parents –
There seems to be a problem when you try to subscribe to my blog. I am so sorry. Until I get it up and running better, check the blog at least once a week. I will try to update Fridays. I will give word to the class and also repost when it is working. Thank you for following and being so supportive to our classroom.
I have LOVED the opportunity to work, so far, with your kiddos. They are wonderful youngsters and I can’t wait for the rest of the year!!! Have a great rest of your weekend and see you Monday!

First Week of School!

WOW!
Thank you for all the wonderful donations and having all items for students ready to go! It is such a great success when everyone helps out. I was overwhelmed by your generosity. I have received a few emails for volunteers. If that is something you are interested in please notify me through email by the end of next week. I will notify you for when volunteering times will be starting later in September beginning of October.
As for the class… My students are amazing. Each one is so unique and wonderful. I am so excited to get to know them even more. We will continue practicing procedures and move into our daily routine on the coming Monday! With Monday ,we will be enjoying the “Total Eclipse” as well. It is such an amazing phenomenon.  I will also be posting spelling, vocabulary, and math vocabulary words to keep you in the loop.
Please subscribe to my blog to get notifications when I post. If you do want to contact me, please continue to use email or phone.
We are off and running. Thank you again for all your help and support,
Warmest Regards,
Mrs. Young

Welcome to my first post on my new blog!

Hello parents and students –
It is my first year at Quest and I am learning the methods and wonderful technology that sets Quest apart from other schools. If you need to contact me, my email is the best method. During the summer, I will not be checking it as often , so please give me at least a week to return your questions.
I have put a supply list up and I am working on my disclosure statement too.
Most parents ask me what they can do during the summer to prepare their child for the upcoming year! Summer is such a great family time, ENJOY IT with your cute kiddos! It goes by way too fast…Things I have to remind myself to do, too is (turn off the technology) OPEN a good book!!! We have a great library right up the street. Picture books, Current events,  Biographies, Chapter books… try a new genre every other week. But READ READ READ and then READ some more. See how many places you can visit in your mind and imagination before returning to school this fall.
In the math and science areas… of course stay up on your multiplication… but have your kids help with shopping or budgeting. Real World problems are the best for keeping those noodles learning. Science (EXPLORE) Utah has some of the best hiking and historical areas around. I have even found A LOT of these areas don’t cost money or they are very reasonably priced!!! Have fun and learn from the environment around you.
Here are some books if you need ideas:
