Homework for January 9th-12th

I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I’m hoping you all stayed warm!  Brrr!
Just a reminder that we have NO SCHOOL on Friday (1/13).  It is a Teacher Work Day since it’s the end of the 2nd term.  There is also NO SCHOOL on Monday, January16th to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  Have a nice long holiday weekend!

Multiplication Madness: We will be learning our 3’s and 4’s this week. We will also be reviewing and passing off 0’s, 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, 9’s, 10’s and 11’s. Please continue to practice and drill these multiplication facts at home. Thanks for all the hard work!

Homework:

Reading
Of course, reading is the most important part of our homework! All of us should be reading 20 minutes a night, 5 nights a week. Please print off the Sort and Reading Log to record how many minutes your child read each night. Please sign and return it on Friday.

Math-We will continue to work on multiplication as we learn area.  We will be doing an area lesson/activity this week using Cheese-Its.  After the lesson is completed, we will eat the crackers.  If you do not want your child to eat the Cheese-Its, please let me know.
Monday- area-1
Tuesday- area-2
Wednesday-area-3
Thursday- Homework due!
**Friday-No School/Teacher Work Day (End of 2nd Term)**

Spelling
No sorts this week, due to the short week.  We are also re-assessing the students with spelling and reading this week, therefore we will be just reviewing.
