Our Valentine’s Day Party will be the Multiplication Madness Banana Split Celebration. It will be in the cafeteria from 2:00-3:00. If any parents would like to volunteer or donate any supplies, you are more than welcome to. Just let me know.
Students will be able to pass out their Valentine cards to classmates after lunch. Please remember no candy with the Valentine cards. You can give pencils, erasers, small toys, etc. We have 27 students in our class. I would prefer you not write names on the Valentine cards. Please just sign your name. It takes so much time for the students to pass them out if they are addressed to each individual student. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks of all the hard work that the parents and students did while I was out of town.

Okay…I’ve had a few parents ask about having a way for their children to get new books they haven’t read yet. So, after getting a few ideas from different parents and teachers, I’ve decided to do a Book Swap here in our class. We are going to have the “Book Swap” next Friday during School Store at 2:00 in the afternoon. Most kids don’t read a book more than once, so this is a gHave your children bring one or more books (in good condition) that they are willing to give to other student(s). These books should be at least on a second grade level; preferably chapter books. I thought we could try this and if it goes well, we can do it a few more times during the school year. This should be fun for the students!

Thank you so much for all the donations that all the families gave for our classroom Christmas present! We now have a classroom set of dictionaries that everyone can use as a whole group during school. You are all so kind and thoughtful!!! 🙂
