Homework Policy

If I can help it, most of our work will be done in class. I don’t believe in inundating students with unnecessary homework. I understand that students have seven other classes–in addition to their responsibilities beyond school, and I also believe  down-time with family is important!

Because of this, when I do assign homework I expect it to be done, and done on time. Homework in ELA will range from grammar that may not have been finished in class to studying for tests/quizzes, and perhaps even some short writing assignments.

I will strictly adhere to the late-work policy (see ‘schedules: late work’)  and have high expectations as far getting work done on time.

READING: Students should be reading at least 20 minutes at home every night. As this is the suggested amount nation-wide, this is not counted as homework.
