Happy Halloween! We are planning on having a modified version of our annual Halloween parade on Friday, October 30^th. Because the parade will start at 9:00am, we ask that students come to school already dressed in their costumes.

There will be a virtual option and an on-campus option for parents and relatives to watch our on-campus elementary kiddos parade in their costumes. To watch our parade from home, parents will be sent a link to a YouTube live streaming session. Students will be recorded as they pass by the office, one class at a time, and you’ll be able to see them in all their Halloween splendor!

For those who would like to attend the parade for their on-campus children, they should bring camping chairs or blankets and set them up along the outside of either building (see map below—the yellow dots indicate where families can sit).

Everyone watching the parade on campus needs to be wearing a mask and should position themselves as close to the building as possible to allow our students to parade on the sidewalks surrounding the schools. Families should also allow six feet between them and neighboring families.

So that the ENTIRE school can see our e-learners in their costumes, we ask parents to take pictures of their children and send them to Angelee Spader (aspader@questac.org) no later than Thursday, Oct. 29^th. We will make a video compilation of these pictures and share it with all our students.

Our Kindergarten Halloween Party will be Friday, October 30 following the Halloween Parade.  Please complete the online permission form: Click on the following link to give Permission for your child to participate.

E-learner students are welcome to dress up as well. So that the ENTIRE school can see our e-learners in their costumes, we ask parents to take pictures of their children and send them to Angelee Spader (aspader@questac.org) no later than Thursday, Oct. 29^th. We will make a video compilation of these pictures and share it with all our students.

We will be holding three holiday parties this year; Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s. We are requesting a $3.00 donation for each party to help with the associated costs.  If possible, please donate $9.00 for all holiday parties at this time.  If you prefer you may donate $3.00 now and pay the remaining amount later.  Thank you for your generous donations.

Costume Guidelines:
Please note that costumes should be modest and without blood or gore. Students may paint their faces or wear masks. Anything that depicts violence is banned (knives, guns, swords, spears, etc.). Just to reiterate, no blood, either depicted on the costume or in makeup, is allowed.

COOKIE DOUGH/BEEF JERKY PICK UP is Monday, October 26th.

The 2 pick up times are 11-12:30 and 2-6pm ALL orders need to be picked up that day as we have no way to keep them cold overnight.

Dollar dress down will be Thursday, October 29th

Wednesday the 14th is EARLY OUT (8:30 – 10:30)

Thursday the 15th & Friday the 16th NO SCHOOL

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 20 and Thursday, October 22.  

There will be no kindergarten classes held on Thursday (22nd). October 23rd there will be no school for all students.

We just finished off the best week talking about FRIENDSHIP! We learned how to say FRIENDS in sign language and read a fun FABLE about what you may think would be unlikely friends. The Lion and the Mouse. When our Fun Friday came around we decided to capture this fun week focusing on friends with a Directive Drawing of a Lion.

Fun Fact …. When walking in from recess we were counting and friend near me got clear up to 100 by the time we got into the building!! Next time you are out on a walk with your kindergartener challenge them to count for you!!
