Hooper City’s Annual Halloween Haunt

This message was sent to teachers along with a white paper bag for each student. The bags were sent home on Friday.

It is once again time for Hooper City’s Annual Halloween Haunt. It will be held on Saturday, October 18th, from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m., at Hooper Park, 5600 South 6100 West. The favorite part of the Haunt is the luminaries made by the school children. We are asking your class to help us with this project. The luminaries can be made on the white paper sack, by drawing, pinpoking a picture, or stapling/taping on a picture. If you would please also have your students fold down the top of the sack, that would be most appreciated. This helps the bags stay open and not catch fire. We will be collecting completed bags on Monday, October 6th. If you are not able to help with this, would you please return the bags, so we can use them next year.

Thanks so much,
Sheri Bingham

Hello!  I am sending home the math homework tonight and the students only need to do the ODD problems.  I do have a few students who are bringing home an additional worksheet to complete.  These students did not complete it in class today, so please watch for that as well.  Thanks for everything and have a great day!

Homework is Due Tomorrow

Happy Weekend, almost!  Here are some tips for the homework.
*Tomorrow is Friday and all homework for the week is due tomorrow.  If your child has not handed in their homework make sure it comes in tomorrow.
*Parents, please sign the homework organizer and send it back in with the homework that your child has done.  I want to see how the students are doing on their homework.
*  On the math homework make sure you see, either on the weekly homework organizer or the blog, the problems that are assigned.  If you would like your child to get the extra practice then feel free to tell them that Ms. Beckstead requires that all of the problems need to be completed. 😉
* If you have any concerns or questions about the homework please call or email me.

Tomorrow is also our word sort spelling tests.  Please make sure your child has their word sort words down.  Thanks!!

Tonights Word Sorts

For tonight’s word sorts there is no homework.  We did not complete all of the sorts during class, so some of the students do not know how to sort the words.  So please skip the word sort for tonight, but plan on doing them tomorrow with the speed sort.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me.  Thanks and have a great night!

Announcements!

Tomorrow is Friday and it is dress down Friday.  If your child would like to dress down they may, but it will cost them. 🙂 So please send the money for your child to dress down.

The math test will be moved to next Wednesday, the 3rd.  As a class we are struggling with rounding so we are going to spend more time working on our rounding skills.  Next, we will be having our spelling test tomorrow.  The spelling words are the sort words that your child has been sorting all week.  Reminder!! All homework is due tomorrow if it has not been handed in.  Please feel free to email me any questions or concerns that you might have.  Thanks for all your support and I love learning with your children!!!
