Books are the best! You can make a scholastic book order through my classroom by going to Scholastic Reading Club then click on ‘Connect to Teacher’ and enter the code WTH94. Our first book order will be due Thursday, September 30th. There are so many fun books for this season of Fall and Halloween. Have fun finding books for your kindergartner!
Worksheet packets will be sent home almost each week in students’ take home folders. These are extra worksheets that don’t need to be returned, but you are welcome to use them for extra practice. Plus, they give you a chance to see what concepts we are learning in class.
Please remember to send your kindergartner with their “Take Home” folder every Wednesday and empty it out after school that day.
This is such an amazing class! I am so glad you have shared them with me!
It was so fun to see all my kindergartners today! We went over the rules and procedures of the classroom, colored a picture, played on the playground and got to know a few things about each other. I have such an amazing class! I’m excited to get to know each one of them better!
I sent home their “Take home folders” in their backpack. In the back of the folder you will find the “All about me paper”. Feel free to fill it out with pictures or drawings and put a recent picture of them in the square that says “My Family”. Please return it to school in their folder as soon as possible.
I also sent home their Kindergarten beginning of year K.E.E.P. test scores in a manila envelope.
Thank you for sharing your kindergartner with me and Miss Lauren. It’s going to be a great year!
We are excited for our FIRST DAY of school on Wednesday.
What to bring: Please send your child with headphones and a water bottle. We encourage you to label these items.
Drop-off: You are welcome to walk your child into our classroom for the first day of kindergarten. Beginning on Thursday, students will line up by the gate and wait for Miss Lauren to open the gate. On Wednesday (the first day of school), we will show the students where to line up so they are prepared for Thursday. (Lunch is available everyday, prior to the start of class in the lunchroom).
Pick-up: We will bring the students to the back of the building. Siblings will meet them in the back of the building. You will enter the school parking lot and drive around the junior high and along the back of the buildings. For more details please refer to this pick-up video.
My Kindergarten Back to School Night is Monday, August 16 from 7-8 (The rest of the elementary is 6-8).

Breakfast and lunch for students will be FREE for the 2021-2022 school year.
Breakfast is provided prior to the start of class (7:45-8:20am). Students eating breakfast should go directly to the lunchroom when they arrive at the school. Parents are welcome to accompany their child to the lunchroom for breakfast. Breakfast will be available for the students on the first day of class.
For lunch, students will choose either a hot or cold entree. They will also have access to our full salad bar with a variety of fruits and vegetables. The breakfast and lunch menu can be found at the following link. Quest Academy’s Menu
Our lunchroom staff will be available during Back to School night to answer questions and to allow the students to see the lunchroom. If your child has any allergies, this is a great time to talk with the staff. Note: All allergies need to be documented in Aspire.
We are very excited to welcome our new students into our kindergarten class! The first week of school (Aug 18-24) we will NOT be having regularly scheduled Kindergarten classes. We use this information to customize each child’s education and to challenge them at their current level in reading and math. Click on the following link to sign-up for a testing appointment.
