We are now beginning Unit 8 in Language Arts. This unit is all about vehicles and transportation! Below are the sight words, oral vocabulary words, letters, and sounds we will be mastering during the next 3 weeks.  In addition, we continue to read decodable books and passages. You can encourage us to read the passages we bring home each week. We are also learning to write sentences about the texts we read.

As a class in math, we will be solving addition and subtraction word problems to 10. Individually, the students are working to master their current selected math standard and pass their math fluency level. Our whole class has passed off their 0’s adding and subtracting facts. Many of our students are working on 1’s and 2’s. And we have several on 3’s and even 4’s. Way to go!

In science and STEM, we will be exploring plants and the things they need to survive. We will grow and care for our own plant. Watch for our plants to come home the Thursday before spring break.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, January 31 and Thursday, February 1.  Please note: These will be early out days (1:10pm) and there will be no school on Friday (February 2).

Your child has a special presentation to share with you! Please select the date and time that is most convenient for you and your child to attend together. There are enough appointments available if a child needs more time slots to accommodate parent/guardian situations. This is a friendly reminder that our Sibling Lottery will be pulled TOMORROW by 12:00 pm.

If you have an incoming sibling of a current student, they must be enrolled in the lottery to be eligible for acceptance. Please follow this LINK, or go to our website under ENROLLMENT to enroll.  

When filling out the enrollment application, please verify that you have completed the Sibling Preference section in its entirety in order for your student to be eligible for the sibling lottery. (See snapshot).

You will be notified via email of your child’s acceptance into the school, the next steps in the registration process, and what timeline you will need to follow in order to secure your child’s position at Quest.
