We are excited for our FIRST DAY of school on Tuesday.
What to bring: Please send your child with headphones and a water bottle. We encourage you to label these items.
Drop-off: 12:10-12:15 Students will line up along the fence between Q1 and Q2 on the parking lot side. Please stay with your child everyday until we pick them up to lead them to our class. You are more than welcome to follow your child into the classroom on the first day. You can help them find their chair and take picture if you’d like.
Pick-up: We will bring the students through the gate, along the sidewalk, and gather by the east windows of Q1 by the tree and cross walk. You may park your vehicle and then pick up your child. Please use the crosswalks. Or you may remain in your vehicle and drive along the sidewalk. We will help load your child from the right side of the vehicle.
I loved seeing all of my new kindergartners and visiting with each of you. I think I am going to have the best class ever. I have amazing parent support and some pretty amazing kids! I look forward to meeting with your child one-on-one for testing during their scheduled appointment. We are especially excited to begin classes the following week on Tuesday, August 23.

Back to School Night
Monday, August 15
6:00-8:00pm
My kindergarten class’s presentation will be at 7:00 and 7:30 in our classroom. Feel free to choose either of those times to attend.
During Back to School Night you will have the opportunity to come to our classroom and learn more about our class and the upcoming school year.
In addition, there will be a free uniform giveaway in the lunchroom. They will be available 4:00-7:30pm. While in the lunchroom, meet Madeline Chestnut and her amazing lunch crew. This is a good time to talk with Madeline about any allergies your child may have.
We are looking forward to meeting with you!
Note: Kindergarten testing will take place during the first week of school. Your child will only attend during their 30 minute testing appointment. Kindergarten classes will begin on Tuesday, August 23.

Feel free to order books for your child/children for the beginning of the school year! Some of my favorites are the Pigeon books by Mo Willems, The Bad Seed and other books in that series, Elephant and Piggie, and any of the Animal non-fiction books. But don’t just limit yourself to those I’ve mentioned, there are so many others to explore and love!

The first week of school (Aug 17-22) we will NOT be having regularly scheduled Kindergarten classes. Instead, we will be giving each individual student an extensive test to help us better assess where your child is academically. We use this information to customize each child’s education and to challenge them at their current level in reading and math. Click on the following link to sign-up for a testing appointment. The first day of Kindergarten classes will be Tuesday, August 23 12:20pm-3:20pm. Thursday, August 25 will be early out schedule 11:20am-1:20pm. And then no school on Friday, August 26. Click here for the full Quest 2022-2023 school calendar.
