Read-A-Thon Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the Read-A-Thon! Students can dress down for a dollar (they can wear pajamas) and bring pillows and blankets to make their hour of reading comfy. Please limit items to anything that can fit inside of a pillowcase, we don’t want huge blankets or pillows because we have nowhere to put them. It is also an early out day, so we will be done at 1:00.

Thanks,
Ms. Young

Math Test Tomorrow

We moved faster during this chapter than expected, so the chapter 7 math test will be tomorrow. Students should work on strategies to multiply and divide by 3 and 4. Another important thing to review is how to multiply and divide 1 and 0. It is easy but can be confusing keeping them straight!

Thanks for your support,
Ms. Young

Multiplication Madness!

banana-split

Students and Parents,
The Multiplication Madness banana split party will be on February 14, which means there is a little more than a month to pass off all 1-11multiplications facts. Please practice your facts at home so that you can get a delicious banana split!! There are many online resources and it often helps just to write out facts for memorization.

Good Luck,
Ms. Young

Just Checking In

I just wanted parents to know that we had a great day today! We are coming along with our weekly writing project and our Multiplication Madness is going great. I hope that everyone in class will pass off their multiplication facts and get to have the whole banana split! If you are not sure how to help your child with their multiplication, flash cards are available at Walmart for about $1.50 and their are tons of great games online that will help them practice.

I also wanted to give a friendly reminder about subscribing to the blog so that everyone can be well informed.

Thanks,
Ms. Young

Hello world!

Hello 3rd Grade Family,

My name is Ms. Young and I am your child’s new 3rd Grade Teacher. I am so excited to be here and I am ready to work and explore with your kids! It was so great to meet them this week (and some parents too!). I know we are going to have a great year together. Our class blog will have tons of information about homework, expectations, and me J. The disclosure statement will be under documents. Please read with your child and return to school next week.

                                                                                                Sincerely,

                                                                                                Ms. Young
