Reading at home: **Your student brings home 2 decodables and 2 stories from our ELA quizzes each Friday. These stories can be read and returned for class money. If they read it 3 times out loud with you, please sign it and have them bring it back. *


Reading in Class

  • The essential question is: “How do we use energy?
  • Comprehension Skill: Text Features
  • We will Introduce CVCe Syllables in our spelling words: state, replace, nine, ninety, side, sidewalk, face, outside, these, tadpole Review: letter, magnet, alone, beside, round
  • Our Vocabulary words are: electricity, energy, flows, haul, power, silent, solar, underground
  • Math in Class
  • This week we are learning how to create and read bar graphs and picture graphs.

Reading Homework (optional, but highly encouraged!!)
