No regular homework, STEM, Fall Break, Halloween, PTC

Happy Friday!,
I just wanted to update everyone on the crazy month of October.
Due to fall break, we will not be doing word study so homework will only be computer activities and reading. Wednesday the 14th is an early out but not a dress down day. Thursday and Friday there will be no school.
We have started our STEM project and learning what it is all about. We will be creating a working windmill next week to get us started. I am amazed at the incredible background knowledge that many in the class have about windmills. I think this is going to be a wonderful and fun experience! Please let me know if you ever have questions or ideas as we get this new adventure going.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 29 from 3:30 til 5:30. Please let me know if you would like to be scheduled in to come see me to discuss your child’s goals.
Our Halloween party will be on Friday, October 30th from 12:00 to 1:00. I had some parents sign up to help with the party at back to school night. If you didn’t sign up and are willing to come help, please let me know. We will be rotating through 4 classes for activities. We will be decorating cookies in my classroom.
I want to thank you for allowing me to spend each day with your child. This is really an amazing, hard-working and a class that supports one another. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by these kids.
