Here’s what to plan for!
All three days are free dress down days. Also, they are short days!
Please notify me if there are any days that your child will be missing any days! 
We will be having ice cream on Thursday. I will not be sending a permission slip with your child since I have permission from May 3rd. If this has changed please let me know.
Have a fun and safe Memorial Weekend!!

ABC Countdown for May 20 to May 30:
Monday- S- Stem day- we are doing a fun STEM project
Tuesday- T- Talent day- share a talent with the class- You may email a video or picture of your student’s talent if they
          are not able to do it at school. Please send it to me by early Monday as I will be at a training and not at school on 
          Tuesday.
Wednesday- U- Under our desks- we will do some work while we sit under our desk 
Thursday- V- Video Day- we will watch a fun learning video
Friday- W- Watercolor Day- we will do some watercolor art

Monday- no school for Memorial Day
Tuesday- X- Xray Day- we will make an xray of ourselves
Wednesday- Y- Year End Party- we will have our year end field day party
Thursday- Z- Zoom home for summer

Monday- new name day- choose a new name for the day
Tuesday- outside day- extra outdoor recess
Wednesday- picnic day- we will have a picnic for lunch
Thursday- quick day- we will have some relays to see who can run quickly
Friday- read a thon- we will have a read a thon during the day

Next week ABC countdown:
May 6 to 10
Monday- Invention day- draw up plans for something you’d like to invent
Tuesday- Jump on Frontrunner to learn about Jupiter
Wednesday- Kickball day- we’ll have a 2nd grade kickball tournament
Thursday- Lounge day- we’ll lounge around the classroom for some learning time
Friday- Marker day- we will use markers to do most of our work

Please check with your child to make sure all library books have been turned in by Friday, May 10.

Next week’s ABC countdown plans:
Monday is D- dinosaur day- we will learn about some dinosaurs
Tuesday is E- experiment day- we will do some fun experiments
Wednesday- F- Fun in the sun- we will so some learning out in the sun (weather permitting)
Thursday- G- game day- your student may bring electronics, (that don’t require WIFI) or any other game (they know how to play) to share with friends
Friday- H-hat day- wear a hat to wear outside

I will be sending another permission slip home for permission to have some treats during our end of year testing. Please read EVERY night with your child as we will be completing our end of your test during the next 3 weeks. Also, please ensure they are going to bed at a time that will give them the rest that the need!

Special Dollar Dress Down Day this Friday March 26th

We are so excited to announce that this Friday we will be having a dollar dress down day. This is a very special dress down day for me. The money from this dress down will go directly to a project that my son and I are working on. In July, we will be going to Fiji on a service trip to help families in the village of Narikoso.  This village was directly hit by Cyclone Winston and is still recovering over two years later.  We will be helping in rebuilding structures as well as helping the villagers with business development, personal hygiene, sustainability, and English lessons. If you would like to donate money you can bring money for the dress down day. Thank you so much for your help and support for this exciting project.

We will be having an ice cream party in our class to celebrate our place in the fund raiser! It will be on May 3rd after we  cream the administration with whipped cream.
I need parent permission for your child to participate in eating ice cream.
Your student will bring home a permission form today. Please sign it and return it ASAP so that it does not get lost or forgotten!
