Homework 10/18-10/22

There will be ONLY reading homework this week due to it being the end of term and short week.  However, your child can practice with base ten lesson information at home if they like.

Our Class Halloween Party is Friday, October 30 at 11:30am.  We are requesting a $2 donation to help pay for the party treats and supplies.  You may pay at the Q1 office or online: Quest Online Payments  (please enter the amount of your choice in the OTHER box).

If your child is allergic to sugar cookies, frosting, decorating candies, etc., please arrange to have your child bring a treat for themselves on the day of our Halloween party in lieu of providing a donation.  Thank you!

Also, please sign the below permission slip for our Halloween Party if you have not done so already:

1-
No Math Homework this week:
NOTE: Lesson 8 is tricky and your child may need your extra support!  If your child is struggling, have them draw base ten cubes (the orange “rods” and “ones” in the example).  Have them draw an extra ten rod when they need “ten more” or cross off/erase a ten rod when they need “ten less”.  If you have some crafter’s plastic mesh, it can be cut into tens and ones to be used as a manipulative.
