Welcome to 1st grade!
I am so very excited to welcome our new students to our class for the upcoming school year! I can’t wait to get to know you all better, and if you see me out and about, please come and say hi! In anticipation of the upcoming school year, please subscribe to my blog using the button on the right side bar, this will be my primary method of communication. I have attached our 1st grade Yearly Permission Slip to sign here below as well as some of our volunteer opportunities to get those volunteer hours in. Volunteer Opportunities
There are just a couple upcoming dates to be aware of.
Back to School Night is Friday, August 17th at 5:30 p.m.
The first day of school is Tuesday, August 21st.
School is early out release Tuesday, August 21st through Friday, August 24th at 1:30pm.
There are 2 options for classroom supplies donations this year. You may pay the office $35 and I will purchase all school supplies, or purchase the items separately and bring to school on Back to School Night. Here is the link for the supply list: It’s also very important that your student have over the ear headphones and a backpack without wheels, and please only label your student’s headphones and backpack. All other supplies will be general supplies in the classroom.

Hill Aerospace Museum S.T.E.M. Camp for the summer
Tomorrow is the first day of Hill Aerospace Museum’s free summer S.T.E.M. camp program. The information is as follows:

Hill Aerospace Museum & Patriotic Performances
TOMORROW IS THE HILL AEROSPACE MUSEUM FIELD TRIP!
Please have your student wear their white or blue uniform shirt for this field trip. They will need to bring a sack lunch from home as no school lunch will be available and it needs to be completely disposable- Unless you were pre-arranged as a school sack lunch by last Friday on the Google Form (If you were pre-arranged then your student will be provided the school sack lunch made by the lunch staff if that is the case). We will be leaving the school promptly at 9am and returning to the school by 1:00pm. If you are able to chaperone the field trip please email Mrs. Nelson asap to get on the list-and if you signed up at the beginning of the year to chaperone this field please also email Mrs. Nelson. We have our field trip groups arranged but still need a few volunteers to assist with our groups. Please email Mrs. Nelson if you can help or plan on attending the field trip.

Patriotic Program:
The first grade will be performing their Patriotic Dress Rehearsal for the school Monday, May 21st for students and faculty, please have your child wear a RED SHIRT to school this day.
Quest Academy first graders will be performing their Patriotic Concert on Tuesday, May 22nd 5:00pm in the Q2 gym. Please have your child in the gym by 4:45pm that evening, dressed in a RED SHIRT and uniform pants. Any patriotic accessories are encouraged!! (Please avoid any tall accessories, such as tall hats, that could potentially block the view of other children standing behind your child.)
We welcome any friends or family members to join us! To show our gratitude and to honor the service of our veterans we encourage you to extend a special invitation to your veteran family members and friends.
PLEASE PLAN TO BRING YOUR OWN CHAIRS AND/OR BLANKETS FOR SEATING; CHAIR SEATING WILL BE TOWARD THE BACK OF THE GYM, BLANKETS UP FRONT.
