It’s all about the children!

At Quest Academy we believe in being an integral part of the community. We know our students will achieve more with the help and support of local businesses. We invite all interested parties to take part in assisting the rising generation at Quest Academy to succeed.

The student body at Quest Academy would benefit from local businesses in many ways. The greatest needs are as follows:

  • donating time at the school by reading with students
  • donating time at the school by teaching students college and career ready skills especially in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
  • opening business for field trip experiences especially in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
  • monetary donations
  • resource donations–especially those resources to assist in teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math

If you are interested in helping the students at our school, feel free to see the tax-deductible donation options: Business Partnership

6- We have the STEM Lab on Monday afternoon.  There were a handful of students that were “kicked” out of the lab for disruptive, disrespectful behavior.  Please help to remind your students that this is a very neat educational experience that most students do not get the opportunity of having.  Additionally, that it is very important to follow the rules and expectations of the school to respect the school, classroom, others, and yourself.  Thank you for your continuing efforts to assist us curbing this issue.

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Tower of Books Challenge, an independent reading challenge for your child! Here’s how it works:

The goal for your student is to read all of the books from the categories listed on the paper sent home, with the option of “stacking up” to other lists that will be available.  Each student will check off one of the boxes each time a book is read.  After checking off 5 boxes, it’s time for him/her to add on to… The Tower of Books, which will be displayedTower of Books outside the library for all to see.  When a student is ready to add to the Tower, he/she must complete the following steps:

  1. Bring in his/her list, signed by a parent, to the library

  2. Get a book template

  3. Fill in the information for one of the books read

  4. Fold the template & glue it into its 3-D shape

  5. Receive a prize (Prizes will only be given when the book has been filled out, folded, & brought back to the library.)

Each class will be competing against the other classes in their grade to see which class will be the “master stackers”.  At the end of the year, the classes with the highest stacks will be awarded certificates & a small prize.

Your children will hopefully get a “taste” of some different genres of books they may not have read before, all while having fun keeping track of their reading & watching the stacks grow.

Thank you for your support with this!

First Day Pick Up

Pick UpI am so excited for our FIRST DAY of school tomorrow and hope you are too!!

Remember: The first three days of school are EARLY OUT days and end at 1:00.

To help ease the first day pick up jitters for parents and students, I wanted to let you know that I lead our entire class just west of the outside kindergarten doors in front of the school.

If you have instructed your child to meet you somewhere else (often with older siblings), they can then let me know they will be going to that spot.  Otherwise, your child will be waiting at our designated spot and can go with you after your child lets me know you are there and I see you.

I do this the first few days until we all feel comfortable with pick up.
