Library is tomorrow. Please remember to send your student’s library books with them in the morning.
I just wanted to say thank you so very much to all of our volunteers and our room captain that helped make our class Halloween party a success. You are all amazing and I absolutely adore all of your amazing kids! Thanks!!! My awesome volunteers took a bunch of pictures and I will post them later this weekend. Have a safe and wonderful Halloween weekend.
Just as we did last year, we’ll have a Halloween parade in the morning. This activity will take place on Friday, October 31, “witch” is a short day. Quest families are welcome to come watch their children parade through the Q2 gym from 9:00 to 10:00AM. Though only Kindergarten through 6th Grade students will participate in the parade, Jr. High students are welcome to wear costumes as well (or, students could choose to treat this day as a free dress down day). Notice that this is different from last year. Please note that costumes should be modest and without blood and gore. Though students may paint their faces, masks and weapons are not allowed. Anything that depicts violence is banned (knives, guns, swords, spears, etc.). If you have questions about costume accessories, please contact us. The theme for this year’s costumes–if you choose to participate–is characters from books. Please note that this is just a suggestion and students are welcome to wear any costume that follows the above guidelines. Just to reiterate, no blood, either depicted on the costume or in makeup, is allowed. After the parade, Kindergarten through 5th grade will have classroom parties. Our class party will be from 11:30am-12:50pm.

Halloween Parade and Party (Friday, Oct. 31)
The Halloween Parade Starts at 9:00 and parents are welcome to watch the parade as students walk through the Q2 gym.
We are having a Halloween Party from 11:30am – 1255pm. If you didn’t sign up to help, but would still like to volunteer, please let me and Natalie Galt (801) 336-7554 know. Permission slips went home last week with the students. Please get them returned as soon as possible. We are also asking for a $2 donation per child to help pay for the party. Parents are providing some games, a craft, snack, candies, cookie decorating, etc, and it’s always nice to have extra hands
I will be sending permission slips home on Monday to those students who have not returned them to me.
THANKS for all of your help!
The following parents signed up to volunteer for the Halloween Party: Jeanie Allmon, Amy Fisher, Chasity Smith, Dustin Munford, and Cynthia Purser.
Our drama mentor from Opera by Children came and assisted our class in writing our first grade opera. The students decided on a forest/wooded setting, with bats, bears, tigers and children as their characters. If any of you would like to purchase anything during the Halloween season and donate it to our opera we would be very appreciative. Enjoy your fall break!
