We are excited about the total lunar eclipse this coming Sunday, Jan. 20th. We learned why the moon appears red during the eclipse on Mystery Doug.  I’m hoping for a clear sky to see it when it reaches a total eclipse (beginning at 9:41 pm).  If the kids get a chance to view it, I can’t wait to hear about their experience when they return on Tuesday!  Happy moon watching!

We are excited to have Sheri Allen ACS CCP with Artisanal Touch Events and a Quest 1st grade  S.T.E.M. business partner come to our class. She will share a Farm to Table Cheese Making presentation on January 22nd.

Library books are due every Wednesday.  Checking out books from our school library is a privilege. To check out books students are expected to:
1- Follow the library rules (be respectful, follow directions, use a library voice, etc.)
2- Return library books (no outstanding books)
3- Select a book during the allotted time

If your child has a damaged book that needs to be paid for you may do so in the office.

We are excited for your return tomorrow.  We hope you had a very happy break with your family and friends.  We know that the children are excited about the gifts they received, but we are requesting that all toys and gifts remain at home. Thank you for your support on this matter.

1- Tuesday:  Growth Monitoring Testings.  Please have your children get a good nights rest Monday night and a healthy breakfast before coming to school Tuesday morning. 

2- Wednesday: Pajama Day 

3- Thursday:  Choir Assembly for the students to attend 

4- Friday: Sing-A-Long Assembly then Winter Party from 11:40am -1:15 pm 
   Ugly Sweater Day or free dress down day
