Evacuation Drill

Tomorrow, March 17th, we will be having a lockdown/evacuation drill that will take place at 9:15am. Please know that patrol units will block 4000 South at 5100 West and 4450 West during the drill. We made an announcement this morning to remind students and teachers of evacuation procedures, and to also remind students that this experience is just to practice in case of a real emergency. You may also want to take some time to discuss this with your child.

The Standard-Examiner sponsors the Apple for the Teacher Award. This is an opportunity for students to acknowledge their favorite teachers. Go to cares.standard.net to nominate your Quest favorites. The deadline is 5:00pm on March 25th. Thanks.

Please remember that there is no school on Friday due to our teachers’ professional development day and the end of term.

Thanks,

Quest Administration

Leprechaun Traps due on Monday

If your child is participating and building a leprechaun trap with your family,
they are due back at school on Monday the 16th.  Please send your
child’s leprechaun trap with them.  I will be taking pictures of them Monday
night and we will see if we have trapped any on Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Tuey will be subbing for me on Monday.  I will be taking pictures of
the kids leprechaun traps Monday night and posting them on the blog.
We have a lock down drill, followed by an evacuation drill scheduled
for Tuesday, March 17th in the morning.  We will be walking to
the LDS church we were evacuated to last month.  Feel free to
talk to your children about this being a practice and only a drill.
I will be doing the same.

Our students ROCK!

I just wanted to let you know that your students are amazing!  With the evacuation and having a substitute they did really well.  I know it was a scary event for everyone, especially our kiddo’s.  Give them an extra long hug and tell them how proud I am of them!

Our substitute, Mrs. Tsosie was amazing! The students listened to her and she got all of them safely to the church. Thank you, thank you!

The school is safe and the student responsible has been identified and not returning to the school.
