*August 16 – Back to School Night 5:30 – 7:30 ( Come meet me and check out your new classroom. You can bring your personal supplies and put them in your desk, and also drop off the donations for the classroom. I will have a short power point to introduce our classroom and things to look forward to in the coming year!

*August 19 – First day of school (Short day) students will be out at 1:00 pm. This is a change from last year. So be sure to pick kiddos up at 1:00.

*August 19 – 23  – All Short Day schedule. Please pick up at 1:00 pm.

* August will be the month of assessment and classroom procedures. Helping the students get back into routine is so important for the year’s success rate. It is important for me to see exactly where my students are coming in at and move from there. I do my best to teach and coach at an individual level. Our assessments that we use at Quest are all research based and highest effect of growth for our students.

* I have a few volunteer hours for certain times. This will not begin until mid – September, but if you want to do volunteer hours at home, I will have A LOT of lamination that will need to be cut out or books that may need to be bound. If this is something you are interested in. Please email me, and I will get that stuff to you! Thanks again for the support you give to our classroom.

*September 2 – Labor Day – No School

See you soon… 5th grade…Here we go!

About angie.young

Hi - My name is Mrs. Young. I am excited to start a new adventure teaching at Quest Academy. I have taught previously in Weber School District in 2, 3, 4, and 6th grades. This will be the start of my 13 year. I also taught in Ogden District, before receiving my Bachelor's of Science, in special education preschool and long term subbing for math in the Jr. High Schools. My hobbies are my family!!! AND singing and acting. I have always loved art and theater. I hope to incorporate art into the technology and science to help our young minds expand to new measures. My family has been part of the education system since I was born. I have always been taught to have a passion for learning and growing. I am very excited to help my students this year to achieve all their goals and never stop fulfilling their passions in life. Welcome to 5th GRADE!!!
