Weekly Update: September 2 – 6

Welcome Back 5th GRADERS!
So we are done with DIBELS (Acadience) whatever you want to call it. LOL Also, Math and Reading Diagnostics on the iReady Program. We are starting our regular schedules and jumping into learning. Remember to read nightly at least 25 minutes. We will have a book report due at the end of October. Read any fiction chapter book on your level  to prepare for it.
I am in need of a volunteer to come in on Mondays 10 – 11 to read with my kids…let me know if you are interested.
Students have already started earning their blocks for the “Journey of Success”. Hard Work is the first step and how they earn each block is by getting 80% or higher on their iReady paths AND 80% or higher on their test mastery.
Behavior has been wonderful in my class. I am a very lucky teacher. All my kids are eager to learn and so respectful to me and each other. It has been a great start to the year!

About angie.young

Hi - My name is Mrs. Young. I am excited to start a new adventure teaching at Quest Academy. I have taught previously in Weber School District in 2, 3, 4, and 6th grades. This will be the start of my 13 year. I also taught in Ogden District, before receiving my Bachelor's of Science, in special education preschool and long term subbing for math in the Jr. High Schools. My hobbies are my family!!! AND singing and acting. I have always loved art and theater. I hope to incorporate art into the technology and science to help our young minds expand to new measures. My family has been part of the education system since I was born. I have always been taught to have a passion for learning and growing. I am very excited to help my students this year to achieve all their goals and never stop fulfilling their passions in life. Welcome to 5th GRADE!!!
