Reminders:
– I am doing math tutoring after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.  If you would like your child to attend tutoring, please let me know so that I can get them on my schedule.  
– The end of the school year is jam-packed!  Please help your child to be on time and at school every day they possibly can be here!  
– I am looking for a parent volunteer this week who would be willing to come run our class store on Friday from 12:30-1:30.  If you are interested, please shoot me an e-mail!  Thanks in advance!

This Week in Math:
This week in math we are learning about elapsed time.  We will be solving word problems about elapsed time using a number line and a t-chart.  We will also be reviewing different strategies to solve multiplication equations. 

This Week in Language Arts:
Homework:
Your most important homework is to read for 20 minutes every night.  You can print the reading calendar below to keep track of your reading.  I also gave each student a reading calendar earlier this month.  Just color in one cloud each night you read.  Bring your calendar with every cloud colored in at the end of the month for a special prize.
For math homework this week, you should still be practicing your multiplication facts!  It is so important to continue to practice so that you don’t forget these facts.  Being able to recall your multiplication facts quickly and correctly will make other math concepts so much easier for you!  

It is sure to be a FANTASTIC week!

– Please keep practicing your multiplication facts!  If you don’t keep practicing, you won’t remember them!  
– Spring Break is NEXT WEEK!  I hope everyone has a fun and safe week off!
– If at any time you have questions or concerns about what is going on in our class, please feel free to e-mail me!  I am happy to answer any questions you have!  
– I have some laminating that needs to be cut out.  If there is a parent who wants some at-home volunteer hours, please shoot me an e-mail and I can send it home with your child.  I’d love to have it back by Friday!
