Scholastic Book Orders
I will be sending home September Scholastic Book Orders with the students today. I am only sending home the “3rd Graders” Magazine today, but you can orders from whichever September magazine you’d like. Go to www.scholastic.com and our class code is LYGBN. Parent Teacher Conferences/SEPs
Dear Parents,
Our first SEP’s will be held on September 25th from 3:30 to 5:30. This is an opportunity for me to meet with you and discuss your child’s progress in Third Grade. It also an opportunity for you to help me best meet your student’s needs. All parents will be given individual conference times throughout the year. I am scheduling times with specific parents each month on the designated SEP day. Keep an eye out for a note for an appointment to conference with me. Let me know if you’d like to meet with me this Thursday.

School Store Donations
I hope everyone is having a great beginning of the year!!! We’ve been in school for month now-CRAZY! Time is already flying. We started School Store last Friday, and we are in need of any donations. Some things that are popular are: small and large toys, school supplies, jewelry, make-up, sports balls, etc. Think of the things that your children are interested in, and those things will sell really well in School Store. Also, any parents that would like to come and volunteer for School Store on Fridays from 2:00-3:00, we need your help! Thanks so much for all you do for our class!

Okay!!! We are finally having the students do the Words Their Way sorts in their leveled groups. Yay! I will have the students grouped, and they will know their groups on Monday. The groups will be numbered #1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Their group’s sort will be linked to the homework assignment for the week. The homework will look like this for the rest of the year.
