Please help your child with the HFW word list in their green folder, I will be emailing a copy of words they have past off and what they still need to work on. They are so excited to put their gear by the robot in the classroom for passing off all HFW words for first grade. We are making great progress as a class in reading but the more we read the better we will become. Thanks! Ms. Strain

Dear Families, 

The elementary will be having a Positive Me Week starting Monday, February 28th. There will be lots of fun things to do to help students remember to be drug free. Essentially, students will wear their uniforms on Monday and Friday next week. 

Monday: Be Drug Free – Wear red uniform polo

Tuesday: Team Up Against Drugs – Wear your favorite jersey, team shirt, or dress up with a “twin”. 

Wednesday: Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! – Wear Dr. Seuss themed attire or hat. 

Thursday: Be “Lei”zy and “Lei” off drugs – Comfy Clothes Day

Friday: Use Your Head, Don’t Do Drugs – Crazy Hair Day

Monday February 14th, we will celebrate Valentine’s Day in the classroom. We will be making a valentine bag in class, so no need to send a box. Your child is welcome to bring Valentine’s to share with friends, there are 27 friends in the class. New this year the kiddos can bring a store brought treat to put with their Valentines. We have a severe peanut allergy so please do not send any candy that has peanuts on the label. Thanks! Ms Strain
