Although I am trying to create a video with all of the photos I took on our field trip, it is not going as smoothly as I’d hoped. Field Day is on Thursday, May 25th. All students need to bring their own home lunch that day, nothing that needs to be microwaved. This is an Early Out and Dress Down Day. We are asking that every fifth grader wear a blue shirt for field day. Remember the school’s dress code guidelines.
Yearbook signing will take place on Friday, May 26th. Students can bring a home lunch or order a sack lunch from the cafeteria, nothing that needs to be microwaved. This is an Early Out and Dress Down Day. Remember the school’s dress code guidelines.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is our field trip to the Salomon Center. We will meet at the Roy Frontrunner Station between 8:20 and 8:40, remember there will not be teachers there to supervise students until 8:20. The train leaves at approximately 8:45.
Students need to bring a lunch, or have purchased a school sack lunch, and a modest swimsuit and towel, if the swim suit is not modest a t-shirt must be worn over the top of the swimsuit. We ask that students wear their red or blue uniform top with khaki uniform bottoms and comfortable walking shoes. Students may want to wear a jacket or layer their clothing as we will be walking from the Ogden Train Station to the Salomon Center then back that afternoon.
Parents MUST be at the Roy Station to pick up their students promptly at 3:15. If a student is riding home with someone other than a parent or guardian a note releasing that student must be provided to the teacher.

In preparation for tomorrow’s SAGE math test, I have assigned the kids IXL sixth grade O.7 (multiply, divide, add and subtract fractions story problems). Please have your child do 20 minutes or 75%, whichever comes first.

- Thursday, May 25th is Field Day and all students will need to bring a sack lunch. No lunch will be provided by the school.
- Also, the school talent show will be late morning/early afternoon of that same day. If your child wants to sign up, they will need to do so ASAP. It is on a first come, first serve basis and slots are limited.
- Our math SAGE test will begin tomorrow and finish up on Thursday morning. Please try to make sure your child is here for testing as it is hard to find make up time with all of the end of year activities.
- Our field trip is this Friday. Rain is forecasted so please dress your child accordingly.
- Students have been assigned to teach a lesson to the class for an end of the year assignment. If your child needs to bring any lessons from home for this assignment will you please have them do so this week so we can get them wrapped up.
- This will be the last week for spelling and we will test on Thursday due to the Field Trip.
- I would also like to show the movies “The Cay” and “The Tale of Despereaux” to my class as we have read both books but still need to okay it with administration. It will more than likely be late this week or early next week.
